While I’m anxious to see Ja again the team has been playing great without him lately. There’s no reason to rush him back.

I’d Bring him off the bench as a super 6th man for a game or two at least. That way you don’t totally mess with the newfound chemistry the team has started to have in his absence, while still getting him 20-25 minutes as he works his way back into the lineup after a few weeks off.

Regardless, I just hope Jaren stays in his current mode when Ja gets back. Usually, when Ja first gets back after past injuries, Jaren, Bane, and others are aggressive still and Ja is more of a distributor, but other guys start to take a back seat as he gets more involved - especially on offense.

Hoping this return bucks the trend to a degree.

Agreed. Sometimes they turn into bigger fans than us - I get it… they wanna see 12 cook too

💫🤣💫

But in all seriousness, hopefully they remain aggressive within the flow.

Ja likes to make spectacular dishes about as much as he likes monster flushes !

Go Grizz

and heal up Big Steve - we’re eagerly awaiting his return as well

Torn between going all out and possibly getting the #1 seed. Vs. resting and making sure we get the 2 or 3 seed and being fully healthy going into the playoffs with the exception of Clark.

I personally think Bane has earned a few games off… he needs some rest.

I thought when they did that with JJJ it didn't go well.

At this point, using the games to prepare for the playoffs should be a pretty high priority.

I would hope that means figuring out that 2nd unit led by Tyus, knowing that it (or closing lineup) could change based on matchups.

ETA: Highest priority is a healthy team for the start of the playoffs.

Rockets forward Jae'Sean Tate is out tomorrow in Memphis with a sore left knee. Alperen Sengun, who was out last night with an illness, not on the injury report.

Rockets don't care about winning now . they CARE about LOTTERY BALLS

Getting the #1 seed could be the difference between us making the finals or not given how strong we are at home vs on the road

The ball moves more.

True…

Also - the players move more.

That’s on them to keep moving … Ja is a point guard who has no problems finding the open man … they’ve got to stop standing and watching and play ball.

they can

they will .

throw it up already

The top 3 odds are all the same, and they pretty much have that locked up.  I guess they could play for a better pick if they don't get in top 4.  Their 2nd round pick is outgoing.

Last week, the Rockets won 3 in a row against decent to good teams (Celtics, Lakers, Pelicans), so while I don't think the Grizzlies lose this first game, I'm concerned about dropping the Friday night one, especially if Wednesday's is a blowout.

I'd rather take the 2/3. There's a pretty decent chance the Nuggets lose before the conference finals and I don't want any part of the Kevin Durant suns. Although lord knows they have a tough closing stretch so god knows where they end up.

Well, PG goes down for the clippers.. Grizzlies have by far the easiest remaining schedule in the league. It’s not even close….

I don't believe the Grizzlies have to worry about reaching the #1 seed or dropping out of the top 3 with only 11 games remaining, Paul George out for the immediate future for the Clippers and Kevin Durant out at least another week for Phoenix. They are 3.5 games out of first and 6 games ahead of Phoenix for 4th. They even have a game and a half lead over the Kings for 2nd. That's the only change I can reasonably expect in the top 4 right now.

Warriors could even overtake the Clippers.  Wiggins may return soon.  No one is sure.  They don't even know why he's been out, as it's just been labeled to "handle a personal matter."

Same! I did not expect the step he has taken this year.
