tangogriz 0 Report post Posted March 19 Yeah man, its dueling back2backs, both teams have to travel the night before playing a hard fought game, and the best team wins against the team with the best-ever shooter. We can create open shots, if we hit em, we can beat anybody. Game by game, Trip is earning it, the label of future best player on the team. Especially considering the b2b, everyone deserves applause. I would have liked to have been one of the fans at the walk off reaching for a hand touch from Dillon and getting his daughter's hand smack instead, a cool sports memory just watching it. I respect him for what he does for the team. He WANTS to guard the other team's best player. He does not shy away from it. He gets down and dirty on defense and lets face it- a team needs that. Every good team has its enforcer so to speak. When he is selective and not just going guns hot all the time, I like his 3 pt shot. I think he has good form and he is definitely not scared. If I had my druthers, I just wish he would cool it with all the trash talk toward Draymond and Klay. Now Klay is a sure enough entitled punk. His dad was a Laker. He thinks he is some kind of god or something, but he has had injury issues and has missed 2 years rehabbing and is still a really good volume shooter, so he deserves respect. But Dillon just has to needle him. I know its funny at times, but it just ensures that he will be doubly motivated to tear us up every time we play,. As far as Draymond is concerned, nothing he has said is wrong. He said anyone can win in March and he is right. Winning in March is nice. Winning in May and June is what we look for and Draymond's team has done that over the last 8 years and I think that deserves respect. So I just dont know what Dillon hopes to accomplish. I am sure that he is not bothering Klay or Draymond to the point that they are nervous to play us. They have been through too much for that to be true, so what Dillon is doing is just making them more and more and more ****** at us. They arent going to ever respect us until we eliminate them in the post season, so all the talking is setting Dillon up to look stupid like he did this last go round. NBA pundits were laughing at Dillon and it reflects negatively on MEM. I dont remember Steph--who could embarrass many different opponents--ever talking smack about the Grizz. He may rock the baby to sleep when he hits a timely 3 pointer but nothing all that bad. I would rather our guys act like that. But I get it, this is just who Dillon is and he flat out doesnt care.
