The J Crew 0 Report post Posted March 4 Guess it wasn’t just click bait or old news or a non-story like so many posters were saying on the other thread? Great timing by Ja. Down Adams, Dillon and BC tomorrow. And Ja out at least two important games - Clips and Lakers.
grizzknob 0 Report post Posted March 4 Clearly needs to happen. Hoping for some genuine reflection and positive adjustments from Ja, but we'll see.
Grizzliesfan777 0 Report post Posted March 4 Hopefully this gets him out of his newfound off the court mentality that he’s been cultivating. Man the second half of this season has been one nut kick after another.
oldmanGrizz 0 Report post Posted March 4 We were not a championship team before any of this happened anyway. We are still at least a few moves and another year away. Hopefully Ja gets some good advice that he chooses to follow. It appears he is on the cusp of becoming a shooting star (not in a basketball sense).
The J Crew 0 Report post Posted March 4 Idiot behavior.
The J Crew 0 Report post Posted March 4 Shams reporting the truth, it’s a suspension. Unlike the mealy-mouthed PR statement from the Grizzlies.
fanboyslim 0 Report post Posted March 4 Legal consequences? I doubt it, there would have to be evidence that it was a real gun and Ja’s. I don’t see a DA taking that leap on the basis of an IG live stream. Discipline from the NBA? Maybe but he wasn’t in an NBA facility so most likely some kind of fine. Personal consequences? One hopes. He needs a wake up call and if there’s something positive to take out of this is that he’s going to face the consequences of his actions before he (or his associates) did anything really bad or illegal. The bigger problem is that from now on he’s going to be a target of lowlifes trying to make a buck out of him.
Ethan7 0 Report post Posted March 4 What a **** show. We went from fine in the West to literally shooting ourselves in the foot. I’ve been thinking all season that the trash talk this year has just been going a little too far. This is unacceptable and something needs to change. These guys need to grow up. We are really missing having a legit veteran leader.

But like New York State, Colorado could have much stricter gun laws than a state like Tennessee. I disagree on the lowlifes targeting Ja. The problem is the lowlifes around which Ja has surrounded himself.

Ja has actively chosen the hood life to be seen as hard or something for reasons unknown - maybe it’s an overreaction to getting made fun of for middle class fancy lifestyle he had as a kid or something or whatever, but he’s totally trying to embrace a life that everyone thinks is corny as hell. And now he is going to pay for it in games and money. The people he’s trying to impress (which likely see him as a piggy bank) are now taking money directly from his paycheck because he is too immature to put his foot down and clean up his act etc. Whats really frustrating too is that he’s doing more stupid **** in his 4th year in the league than he was doing in his earlier years. He’s like a Benjamin Button for maturity issues - just getting more immature as he ages.
Allen 0 Report post Posted March 4 Young dumb and rich. He's dad seems just as immature as he is so hopefully someone takes him under their wing before he destroys his career

Ethan7 0 Report post Posted March 4 19 minutes ago, The J Crew said: As he should. I think we need to look for a new coach in the offseason. A vet who can come in and get these guys playing basketball again. We also aren’t ever going to the finals without a good half court offense.

The problem is the lowlifes around which Ja has surrounded himself. You become who you surround yourself with. I would suggest that ZBo should come talk to him, but I'm not sure ZBo ever escaped his friends. Nor do I think he'd listen. He's taken a good first step and removed IG and Twitter. It's been a pretty brutal 9 months or so in Memphis from the national perspective.

Ja_Rules 0 Report post Posted March 4 1 hour ago, The J Crew said: Here we go. The NBA need to suspend him and Nike should drop him. All the money and fame got to his head, his is lost in the craziness of social media and this life style. 26 minutes ago, Ethan7 said: As he should. I agree. This is not just on Taylor, but if cant handle it we need someone who could. Tee and FO are the main ones to solve this problemn, but as I see it, coach is not making those guys any better lately and he also is making some bad decisions with rotations and schemes. King Dork 0 Report post Posted March 4 I been defending that man. But Ja gotta chill. I see it too much, you dudes with the potential for greatness throw it away because of boneheaded mistakes. Most times they aren’t multi-millionaire athletes. He has to decide he wants to take advantage of the opportunity placed in front of him, if not he’ll be a statistic. I’ve tried many times to talk dudes outta bad decisions and learned folks gone do what they wanna do tho. Hopefully what he wants to do is change the direction of his journey idiocy back to one that involves him possibly being a billionaire one day. Sadly he might not care tho. He was on pace to do it in a decade, but now I really dont known if he would spent that money well. He must cut everything and everyone around him that is dragging him to BAD route and focus on the Sport and family only
