Huge props to PG. That's a very healthy approach to Ja's situation. Which makes me think Ja might be more open to advice from veteran players that are still active or at least closer to his age. Of which we don't really have any in the team. The only "old guy" in the team is 29 year old Steven Adams, who I'm sure is a voice of reason in the locker room, but who I doubt can offer a lot in terms of advice on how to navigate life as a young Black millionaire. The J Crew 0 Report post Posted March 23 On 3/6/2023 at 9:18 AM, The J Crew said: The NBA writers/podcasters/ESPN reaction has actually been pretty favorable for Ja, imo. Writers are just dying to write the redemption story. Tim McMahon says this will help the Grizzlies deal with Ja's partying and entourage, and before they were too worried about alienating him, and ended up enabling the behavior. Now, the Grizz FO can come at Ja with what Taylor hinted at, helping him while holding him accountable. Nothing more predictable than the current crop of NBA writers. I figured The Athletic would at least wait until he played a few games. But they dusted off the tired narrative and ran with it after only one game.
