Ok. I think it’s bout that time for me to stamp my late first round lock! It’s been bout 5 years since I missed, somebody go tell the FO to listen!

We’re most likely trading Tyus this offseason. He’s in the last year of his deal and also our most valuable trade chip. We need a replacement.

I give you Jalen Hood-Schifino!

6’6” combo guard. Can easily slide to the 2 or the 3 and play along side Ja and Bane in closing lineups. He’s most likely going late teens/early 20’s, we’d have to trade up to get him, but I’m telling you he’s the 1!!!

He’s a player in our range. Tankathon is showing Lively at 21 but we should be able to trade up a bit for either one.  And, Lively disappeared in half his games too.

I wouldn’t draft either if they didn’t work out for us.  I would make a pick (if it came down to those two) based on workouts/interviews.

Either would be a good fit next to Jaren... backup up Adams.  Clowney or Lively (or Leonard Miller) would also pair nicely with Aldama.

Speaking of tall guys from that Alabama team...Charles Bediako who was really the true center for Bama, the 7-footer, has decided to stay in the draft and not return to college ball.  He's a legit 7-footer and plays with a high motor.  If not a late pick, a priority free agent and starter on the summer team.  Robbins from Vandy (if he can resolve the stress fracture issue) is good too.  Averaged 15/7 last season while hitting 37% from three.  And built like a tank.

The big from Alabama isn’t really that good his stats are pretty undesirable.

I think i have settled on

Leonard Miller or Kris Murray.     I think Kris can be Day one starter if need be (like his brother).    Trade Tyus to move up to get either one plus a Vet.

Another 2way possibility Drew Peterson the Grizz worked him out last year so there is some familiarity there.

Yes. That’s why I said we’d have to trade up. Just like I said trade up to get Nembhard last year and was right. Jalen will definitely be one of the bigger gets in this draft.

I'm not so certain about that.  Nembhard is the same age as Ja and he had a -3.2 BPM, 10 PER, .029 WS/48 , -1.8 EPM,  -2.3 RAPTOR and the crappy Indiana Pacers were 5.8 points better per 100 possessions when he was OFF the court.  Maybe he will improve but I'm skeptical.

Boy I was so mad when they didn’t draft Nembhard after his first game at the combine all I said was the Grizz should get him they won’t need Tyus if they got him they should have took in with one of those 1st round picks.

I hate when I’m right about a player and the Grizz have an opportunity to take him and they don’t he would have been a perfect fit.

I feel you on Hood Schifino I just knew he wasn’t gone be in range and I don’t feel like this is the draft the Grizz are gonna try and move up to chase someone.

Nembhard was and is a good pg with size all of those stats for a rookie on a bad team most likely playing a bigger role than he should be isn’t a reason to be skeptical. It’s always gonna be about fit and opportunity us drafting Nembhard last year he wouldn’t have even needed to play he could go to the Hustle and play there while Ja and Tyus held down the fort along with Bane.

Fast forward to now we would have have Nembhard after a season of acclimating with the Hustle ready to slot in for nba minutes and we could trade Tyus with no hesitation.

So basically you liked him before the draft and still like him despite what did in his rookie season, not because of what he did.  Because what he did was be bad on a bad team.

The pacers were 5.8 points better because the starter is Tyrese Halliburton lol. Dudes a legit AllStar. And all of those advanced stats include the guys who you are playing alongside to a certain extent, and the Pacers bench is horrible.

Stats and eye test tell you Andrew Nembhard is much better than any of the dudes we’ve drafted the last 2 seasons.

In 25 minutes a game he averaged 10pts, 5asts, 3rebs and 1stl a game, while shooting 45% from the field and 37% from 3. For y’all to be acting like that’s trash is wild.

Actually a little more than half of Nembhard's minutes came with Haliburton also on the court with him.

Advanced stats has ruined the game of basketball cause no one watches with their eyes and knowledge of the game it’s all about who has the best percentages.

I told you y I liked him cause he was good in college the best player at the combine and he would have been a great fit to sit behind Ja and Tyus last year and be ready for next season.

Exactly talking about win shares and **** he wouldn’t have even played for the Grizz last year so none of that matters he played on a bad team so your numbers aren’t gonna look amazing especially playing that much as a rookie.

But watch 5 years from now when the Grizz need a pg for whatever reason Andrew Nembhard’s name is gonna come up and he’ll be worth 3-4 times as much. Nobody likes a player until the media tells them too 🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️

Big Facts...

I wanted them to draft Nembhard  and stay away from Kennedy Chandler.

Related note: did anyone else hear that KC wasn't putting in the work as much as he should and that was why he didn't start for the Hustle?   I can't remember where i heard it.

Nah but I was never a fan of KC so it wouldn’t have mattered much I really don’t like the idea of little pgs

Grizz still looking at bigs grabbing Lively could be a Jaren like situation where he didn’t get to show his whole game off at Duke.

Just like the pg situation this draft is starting to get a little light in the center department so Lively could go much sooner than 25

If the Grizz were to trade up I think GS at 19 would be as high as they could get but GS would be a difficult trade partner.

So I would try and do a deal with Brooklyn to move up a few spots just to make sure they got their guy.

Tyus + Lofton Jr for DFS and pickswap (#25 to #21).    Draft Lively then go get wings for 2way.    He is a Dukie so i can see Kleinman making a run at him.

That was the deal I was thinking about it makes the most sense I don’t know if they would want Lofton or not cause they can do the deal straight up Tyus for DFS

We can send them money so they can waive him.  We just need the roster spot.

It could also be Tyus + Konchar + double pick swaps (25 for 21) and (45 for 51) for Dorian Finney-Smith and Patty Mills.

This one allows us to get Dereck Lively with moving up and draft the 2ways by moving down.     We won't be able to negotiate a 2way contract on 45th pick.

That got Vince Williams at 45 it can be done just depends on who you are trying to do it with.

I have no idea what they do with those 2nds cause if they can get them to agree to 2ways you can just draft anyone the draft position doesn’t matter.

They could go the international route and stash someone but they have never done that so that idea would be a stretch.
