Early odds for Grizzlies to win the finals is between +2000 and +2500 depending on the site.  The 10th best odds, behind Celtics, Warriors, Clippers, Bucks, Nets, Suns, 76ers, Heat, and Lakers.  You kiddin me?  Who is betting on the Lakers, just throwing their money away?

Ja Morant is +1400 on MVP.  8th best odds behind Luka, Embiid, Giannis, KD, Jokic, Tatum, and Curry.

Grizzlies win total is 48.5.

Kennedy and LaRavia both at +8000 for ROY

JJJ +2800 for DPOY

BC and Bane both +4000 on MIP

Westbrook falls asleep as his man cuts to the bucket, let's his man get a rebound over him from the free throw line, and plays matador defense to let his man get an uncontested layup - all in 10 seonds of playing time. Has to be a record.

I know it's just preseason, but once a player doesn't care about playing winning basketball anymore, it's hard to get it back.

I saw that Lakers were deep in discussions in trading Russ and picks to Indy for Buddy Hield and Myles Turner.  Then I saw that Grizzlies were also discussed in that deal as a 3-team deal.  No clue what we would have gotten or given up.  But now, doesn't look like it'll happen.

We would just be exchanging nearer 1st round picks for more distant picks. Doesn't seem to make a lot of sense, but who knows?

I'm not the biggest Myles Turner guy, as Ja Rules and I have discussed, but amazed he can't even seem to get a lottery protected 1st back to the Pacers in a trade.

Think idea would be to get a potentially more valuable pick ('27 or '29 Lakers pick) in exchange for one of our picks this upcoming draft which would not be as useful given (a) we're expecting to have a very good record and (b) we already have 3 rookies under contract and 2 sophomore players under contract, leaving less immediate room for more rookies.

I get the concept, it’s pretty simple. Just don’t think it makes a lot of sense.

Man I would've loved a trade for Turner........2 months ago. Now? It's pretty clear best course of action is give ZW, Santi and the rooks as much playing time as possible, especially while JJJ is out. Heck i would even waive BOTH TIllie and Tillman leaving that spot open for either Lofton down the road or a veteran big who might be cool with getting little minutes like Aldridge or Cousins.

Cousins is in the news today.  Really wants back in the NBA.

I would like a vet who can play. But neither of those guys. Aldridge is moody and 37 abd probably done. Cousins is a cancer.

Klay has not scrimmaged yet. Draymond and Jordan Poole must have really gotten into it in practice.

I bet Kerr and Lacob and Myers just might be glad to have an excuse to move on from Draymond. He'll be 33 in 5 months. He's wanting to get paid for the 4 rings, but good organizations don't pay for past performance. One more year, then a player option for '23'-24. Again, dumb to give him the player option. Why does a player in his age 35 year deserve a player option?

Plus, it would let them shift to Wiseman.

I hope they dump him and he goes to the thunder

The part of the story I love is that some support employee, like in the video room, obviously is tired of Draymond's act and leaks the tape to TMZ.

I really think the Warriors wanted to keep it as private as possible because when other teams see it, the video kills any trade value for Draymond.

Will the league act? Or just let the Warriors decide the punishment?

They didn't leak because they are tired of Draymond, they leaked it because they got paid.

Portis got suspended several games after dropping Mirotic during practice. By the Bulls.

And Bobby Portis rejects the comparison, as he claims Mirotic charged him, which the investegation apparently corroborated.

Well, yeah, that's my point. Green's behavior was far worse, so we'll see how the punishment compares.

#brokethecode.

Can somebody ask Steve Kerr about this? He's real eloquent about how you shouldn't try to hurt other players

Feels like a lot of people thought dillon shouldve been suspended for the year
