Wizards could be recovering from this for a while...

It's also why I'm Ok when Jenkins holds off on bringing in the bench when the lead is "only" 25 with 4 minutes left.

That's the kind of loss, two weeks before the trade deadline, that can force a front office to be very aggressive.

What's the status of Kyle and Tyus for this one?  Brooks?

Brooks and Kyle were with the team yesterday, so I imagine that Kyle is very close and Dillon not far behind. I didn't see Tyus which is problematic on two fronts. If he wasn't with the team then he may still be symptomatic and his brother plays for San Antonio so you have to figure if he could be there he would have been.

Then again maybe I just didn't see him.

Montrezl Harrell for Culver + UTA pick?

I don't know. Wasn't really thinking about the Grizz.

But if the Wizards offered Montrezl, Rui Hachimura and their own pick this year, which right now is the 12th pick, to the Pistons for Jerami Grant, that might get it done.

Grant just makes so much sense for the Wizards. He grew up in D.C., his dad played there, went to HS at Dematha. Wes Unseld coached him already in Denver. And the Wiz need to do anything they can to encourage Brad Beal to sign his extension this summer.

What is this "NWT" about Rui all about?  He hasn't missed a game since Jan. 7th

Rui missed the first 2 and 1/2 months of the seasons due to unspecified personal reasons. Kind of mysterious.

Why are you asking though? The Wizards’ injury report is empty right now.

I saw him on the broadcast, they showed him and talked about his impact.

I think both Kyle and Tyus could be back today. I just think they might not have wanted to play them on the first night of a back to back.

I assume Dillon is going to be out at least another week, possibly two.

Kyle and Tyus are listed as game time decisions.  Hope that means they are playing tonight.  We need them for this back to back.

If Kyle and Tyus are back...

Ja/Tyus

Bane/Melton

Ziaire/Konchar

Jaren/SlowMo

Adams/Clarke

Two point guards/3 bigs lineup: Tyus/Ja/Jaren/BC/Adams.

Point 5 Slo Mo runs a 5 guard bench mob.

Is Tyrell Terry playing? We need that guy.

If ZW8 is banged up we need to rest him.  Replace him with Culver.  Culver can play defense.  Just tell him to not shoot.  Failing that, don't pass him the ball.

If Kyle plays... use him off the bench in a slow down lineup.

Start Ja/Bane (duh) with Culver at the 3 if ZW8 is doubtful, then BC/Jaren inside.  Fast break them into the ground.  Get up early.  Maybe we can rest our main guys a bit in the second half.  Melton/Konchar/Point Kyle/Adams get the major minutes off the bench.  Then see what Tyrell Terry/Yves Pons can do/not do?

Bad that Tyus is out. Good that Ja doesn't seem seriously affected by the turned ankle.

Good point, Ja not on the injury report at all.
