I don’t even know if there are any teams that need a pg so that list might be very small. I’m not talking about a superstar sf either just a regular starter level guy DFS like @GrizzTigerFan keeps mentioning. I’m sure there is someone out there that could be had for Tyus
Rdk4121 0 Report post Posted March 7 I personally want to see what Chandler can do with more playing time. I think we need to find out what we actually have in him before next year, so a possible Tyus move isn't felt as hard. Maybe we need to draft or sign another guy, but I think Chandler could do a pretty good Tyus impression. Also keep in mind that Tyus barely played his first couple years in the league, so I'm not ready to give up on Chandler just because he's not in the rotation. QMemphis 0 Report post Posted March 7 Silver lining to the situation we find ourselves in, Tyus value can continue to grow and our picks package looks more desirable with the uncertainty.

You read my mind - I was thinking that the silver lining in all of this is tyus being able to audition for a starting gig. I mentioned before trade deadline that maybe they would be interested in Tyus if FVV is traded. 6 minutes ago, Rdk4121 said: I personally want to see what Chandler can do with more playing time. Chandler could actually be better quicker due to his defensive chops. What i am noticing with both Tyus and Tillman is that they arent impactful bench minute players. both of them need starter type minutes to show their value. Longer you leave them in the more likely they are to have a positive impact on the game. They need to get into a rhythm. Kennard BC and Santi are really the only bench guys that have skillsets that can be instant impact. BC catch a lob or athletic block; Santi is aggressive scorer; Kennard can rain 3s. I think Roddy can potentially be impactful in short bursts but thats not Tyus or Tillman game. If Tyus didn't start hitting 3s this year he would've been invisible mostly. Chandler is high energy and a defensive menace so he can still make impact in short stints. People don't realize how hard it is to be a good bench player. 2 hours ago, Ndq0327 said: I don’t even know if there are any teams that need a pg so that list might be very small. DFS could be the one that is available for trade. He is a good vet and contract isn't outrageous. He can also play PF to help cover BC minutes. Give em Ziarie and Konchar and pick. Of course he wouldn't be my first choice id still try for OG first.

When Ja/Steve return, have them come in off the bench, leave Tyus/Tillman as starters. Our bench just became a lot more productive!
Rdk4121 0 Report post Posted March 7 26 minutes ago, QMemphis said: KC doesn’t know how to run point at least not yet. Jitty and Bane are better facilitators at this point. That's not remotely true, Chandler per 36 is 2nd on the team at 7.4. In the G league, Chandler is at 6.9 per 36. Jitty is at 2.3 per 36, which is lower than Brandon, so don't even bring him into that. Bane is a good facilitator, but is just at 4.7 per 36 this year. Obviously a small sample size is going to skew things for Chandler a little bit, but that's been what he's been best at this year when he's played. G League stats are pretty indicative though and they're pretty strong as well.
Rdk4121 0 Report post Posted March 7 I firmly expect OG to be available in the offseason, just given they got Poetl, who has been fantastic for them and have scottie Barnes at SF. He'll be on the last year of his contract next year and not sure they'll be willing to shell out money to extend him, plus all the rumblings that he wanted a fresh start and maybe a new role. He seems to be the odd man out in their lineup currently.

He can be a good backup in time though. 18 minutes ago, Rdk4121 said: I firmly expect OG to be available in the offseason, just given they got Poetl, who has been fantastic for them and have scottie Barnes at SF. OG likely will be our most gettable target for all the reasons you listed not to mention they may be one the few teams needing a starting PG in which Tyus could be a fit. The J Crew 0 Report post Posted March 8 I think Warriors would be happy to move on from Draymond this summer. But they don’t want him to go to a few teams, specifically the Lakers.

QMemphis 0 Report post Posted March 8 This summer we gotta make some moves and consolidate these young guys. Also Crowder for MLE could make sense. We literally have regressed within a season.

At this point it’s time to start learning new names cause all the named guys that people usually throw out on here are either over the hill, chasing rings on bigger market teams, or not interested in joining the grizzlies. Technically, we’re going to need a backup big next season because BC will probably miss the majority if not all of next season also. So Jae Crowder does fit. Although I wouldn’t do it. fanboyslim 0 Report post Posted March 9 I don't get this board's fixation with bringing back players who were traded away or not re-signed. It's not going to happen, right or wrong the FO made a decision on them already. In Crowder's case, why would you want to bring back a player that will be 33 next season and has lost most of this season sitting out in PHX? Are you going to spend the MLE to fill a roster spot with a player that may become unplayable/untradeable in a year or two? If you want veteran leadership, great, but I'm sure there are younger players with that profile and who will be better aligned with the youth in our roster.
