Memphis Grizzlies and NBA Roster Moves

Recommended Posts

I've been trying to find a link to some season highlights from the 21-22 season. Can anyone provide one? It's easy to forget what an amazing season it was with all of the offseason noise. For me it was the most fun I've ever had watching the Grizzlies and I want to relive it a little.

Grind City Media doesn't seem to have anything, or im missing. Anyone?

I guess it was a silly question.  Those two could probably play together like no other pair in history.

Clarke is a reporter for the Daily Metropolis.  BC is a SUPER HERO.

I guess the problem with Durant is I'm not willing to give up Bane for him. I'm not personally willing to give up Jaren either, mostly because I'm not sure Durant puts us over the top and completely sacrifices everything we have going long term. KD is 34 in 2 months with an already very spotty injury history, he's played 90 games in the last 3 seasons.

The team that makes the most sense to me is the Pelicans or Toronto. Pelicans have a ton of picks and young guys (including Ingram) that can be included. Same with Toronto (OG, Trent, and Barnes).

I dont expect us to be a option for KD, maybe we get Simmons.

JJJ is the best player I've heard so far that might be included in the trade.

If the heat included Bam then that's better.

Im stopping at JJJ/Brooks/picks for KD if we do anything.  And I dont love moving JJJ defense so Im not totally on board there.

I do think a Clarke and BC lineup off the bench should be more than fine, as I think that could be a good combo

Wait … bc is clarke…no?

I could definitely see a move to bring in Olynyk, since JJJ is injured.  Seems like a FO kind of move, and Detroit drafted Duren, resigned Bagley for some reason, traded for Noel and still have Stewart, so seems like Olynyk would be obtainable.

It's the kind of thing that would likely be on hold until this Durant stuff gets settled, one way or another, though.

You'll find any excuse to put down an innovative proposal. SMH.

Star PG

Lose to the eventual champs

Young players throughout the roster

Bright future ahead.

Am I talking about the 2022 Grizzlies? No.

I'm talking about the 2021 Hawks.

They decided to "run it back" with the same team. Assumed everything would go the same way it did the last 3 months of that season. Injuries and inconsistency had them in the play-in/8th seed. Got sent home easily by the Heat.

The Hawks owner publicly came out and said he regretted not improving the team.

I trust this FO. But thinking by simply adding more rookies and replicating anything close to 56 wins is high-risk game they're playing, especially when a major piece has already fallen(Jaren)

You just never know. We traded one starter last year for an end of the bench player and another starter fro a starter with much lower scoring, added two rookies, and had our best season ever. The biggest issue is going to be not having JJJ.

I am a bit scaried too, that why I wanted to trade for Ayton or Turner, in the worst case to Olynik so we can feel more confortable about our chances now that Jaren is out.

I don't think Jaren has fallen. He's still 23 years old. He'll be fine, health wise. And he played a lot of games last year. I do agree that there will be a point where the FO will trade the depth, some youth, and picks for a star. It's not a matter of if, but when.
