I thought he was pretty good… I like how active he is defensively and sets good screens I will miss JV’s scoring on the block tho

I thought he was good also.  Much better defensively IMO.  Not as offensive...but we knew this.

I thought it looked good, he's far more capable of defending on the perimeter than JV was. Still a great rebounder as well. I like the addition honestly.

Maybe it was standing next to Lopez who looks like a beast or something.

Bucks staff needs to stop Lopez from shooting threes... aka bricks.  It's not his thing.

Was at the game, zeroed in on him for awhile.. one thing I noticed when he gets the ball in his hands he looks very uncomfortableh, doesn't know what to do with it and rushes his passes, but doesn't look as slow as I was expecting, and doesn't pick up cheap fouls

I thought he looked solid.  Rebounding is there.  Defense, an upgrade over JV.  Honestly, I would like those JV shots to go to Jaren and the rest of the gang.  We probably still need an upgrade at the backup 5 spot, IF Jaren is gonna play heavy duty at the 4.

JV will be missed, but Adams seems the better fit in the short term. After his contract expires we will probably go in other direction.

Adams looked good with us. Yeah he doesnt have the scoring punch JV had but he was a double double machine and wanted those rebounds.

I thought he was outstanding honestly. I have always liked his action in the p&r. he allows the guard to do his thing and is not in a rush to set the tone. he had a couple of very nice passes. ja will find him on the lobs- might be more of a mini lob, but that's fine. I came away praising him.

 

and, to be honest...this was much more of a fo removing the crutch type of move than anything. time for a certain guy to come into his own.

As far as your original comment, I really don't even know what to say. 3 quarters in the first pre-season game against the defending world champs (obviously they didn't have their top 3 players) and you make the definitive statement that you are not impressed? To each his own, but I would need at least 20 regular season games if not closer to 40 regular season games before making such a statement. I liked JV and all but I'll give Adams a chance.

Adams is a average pick& roll defender he still struggles at times due to his sizes.

However been a average defender Is going to be a HUGE improvement over JV who in my opinion is the worst defending big in the NBA.
