Not exactly true. The post count is the combined umber of posts since the last time the board reset the counts. I lost over 30,000 posts a while back when the reinvented the boards. That is the combined number of everything the site considers content that you have made. If you check the leaderboard stats, Chip has about 9200 posts, but his content number if almost 22K.
