Mavs have a new model

Remember Hubie Brown's 10-man rotations ?

DAL just waxed the Pelicans, and the story isn't Luka.

They put all 13 players out there. The bench scored  65 points. The bottom 4 of the 13 were 7/12 from three

I think the NBA is about to change.

Most teams, and ESPECIALLY ours, don't have that kind of shooting.

But what would Jenkins do if he wanted a new approach?

Carlisle is one of the best head coaches that is able to maximize players abilities to create a system instead of trying to jam players into a specific system. Hollins, in a lesser extent, did it with the Grizzlies. He was able to maximize his players talents into a system that worked.

On a lesser note, Carlisle played everyone in that game because they had a good 4th quarter lead, it was the first game of a back to back, and Porzingis was in early foul trouble.

The league won't change until a team wins a championship doing something different, then it becomes the new flavor of the day.

Obviously he would need more talented bench players that can shoot 3's, or else he can't take the Mav's approach. We'll have to wait and see what TJ can come up with.

Wright played 3 minutes because he was injured, and Barea+Lee played all of the 4th in a blowout. Don't get too excited it was still a 10 man rotation lol.

If this were a real thing then Denver would be the best team in the NBA. In the regular season it might work but be borderline gimmicky. Not to mention that in the playoffs the rotations shorten so much that it really removes the advantage of a team like Denver substantially

TJ is a nobody going nowhere...gets fired after couple bad seasons.
