Give YES/NO on all 15.

Guys under contract with no options for next year. (Average amount per year/years remaining)

1. Mike Conley ($33.5/2 years, last year PO)      50-50 chance

2. Chandler Parsons ($25/1)      40% chance but gone by trade deadline

3. Kyle Anderson ($9.5/3)       stays unless needed for a trade

4. CJ Miles ($8.7/1)      stays unless needed for a trade

5. JJJ ($7.8/3) -     STAYS

6. Bruno ($1.8/1)    STAYS

7. Dillon Brooks ($1.6/1)     stays unless needed for a trade, and that would be a mistake

8. Jevon Carter ($1.4/1 and then RFA into 2020)      STAYS unless we have Conley + Ja + Wright

Guys with options or other

9. Jonas ($17.6/Player Option by June 13)       50-50, depends on coach

10. Avery Bradley ($12.9/1 year with only $2 mm guaranteed, remainder guaranteed on 7/3/19)   NO

11. Ivan Rabb ($1.6/Team Option)     UNLIKELY

Free agents

12. Delon Wright (Restricted - $2.5 mm last year)          ANYONE's GUESS

13. Justin Holiday (UFA - and we will all be thinking of him during the 2nd round of NBA draft)   BUH-BYE

14. Joakim Noah (UFA)        only if JV goes

15. Tyler Zeller (UFA)        STAYS IF THERE'S ROOM

I know Rabb has limitations, but it seems a lot of people are just writing him off.  I think he may be gone if the money is too tight, but he had the fifth highest PER on the team, shot the highest FG%, was the third best rebounder behind JV and Noah, and was tied with Noah for the highest differential in offensive to defensive rating (+8).  I don't think he's as easily replaced as a bench big for that kind of money.  Statistically he has shown more than Brooks or Carter.  He plays intelligently with pretty good fundamentals, he just lacks size/athleticism.  If the FO thinks he doesn't fit he may be gone, but I don't see anything wrong with having a guy like him in the 11-15 spots.  Call it scrub love, whatever.

+1

I like Rabb as a 3rd big. Also he is tight with JJJ so that doesn't hurt his chances of being around IMO.

I'm not certain I agree with the Avery Bradley hate.

He's only 28 years old - certainly not over the hill.  In his short stint with Memphis last season...

16 points and 4 assists per gm.  92% FTs.  38% from three.

Who are we going to realistically get that is better for that 2-spot/combo guard role?

Not hate. It's just the reality that the F.O. doesn't want his contract.

I still don't get how we didn't at least get a second round pick with Avery Bradley. I mean he's only guaranteed 2 million, but that could have been zero dollars had we not traded for him.

I agree with all you are saying, especially if none of the other bigs return.

I also see the FO taking the position of taking a flyer on some other very young big that has higher upside that is slightly cheaper as they probably see it as a low risk investment.  If they don't see Rabb as part of the future, then why keep him around (unless there is so much turnover that they want to maintain some stability).

My prediction is based on the fact that the team hasn't been too committed to playing him or even getting him minutes, even after the playoffs were out and JJJ was out. I guess there is a new FO and coaching staff now.

The Gasol trade couldn't go down unless the team cleared salary to stay under the tax, so I think they were eager to find anyone that would take JaM and Temple off our hands.

Why are a couple of you saying no to Miles? He's already opted in. Cutting him wont take that salary off the books. He will be here.

On top of that he's a pretty good bench player imo.

What were you expecting from a second round pick?  He shot the highest percentage on the team as it was, was tied for the highest offensive to defensive rating differential, was the third best rebounder, had the fifth highest PER.  What did you want, a superstar?  I thought he produced well for a second round pick, better than Brooks or Carter did.

Rabb has this year to figure it out. If he does, then we have a decent big off the bench, if he doesn't then we move on. Not too hard. He's very skilled, he just needs to get a lot stronger in order to hang with other centers in the league. He'll never be quick enough to play against most PFs at this point, so he has to get stronger. He still has potential though.

I think some posters are saying who they WANT to be here rather than who they think WILL actually be here.  It could be that they expect his expiring contract to be traded before the season starts.  If you think about it Miles plus Bradley could really help a team trying to dump salary.  That's $10 mil immediately and another $10 mil at the end of the season.

Yeah, I think you're right here.  I hope he's spending a lot of time in the weight room.

I guess there's always a chance of that but pretty far fetched imo.

Miles impressed me in his time here.
