Ok, provides some stability going forward but it means 15 more years of Chris Wallace

The more I heard about Kaplan the more I worried about Seattle.

I don’t think Pera will ever move this team so I was hoping for this.

Now about our GM...

Why not?

“It is with intent that I referred to the ‘Memphis Grizzlies’ in the previous sentence, because I am committed to Memphis as an NBA market and as the home of the Grizzlies."

Not to be a spoil sport but remember what Michael Heisley told Vancouver fans...

Quote

Heisley assured Vancouver and Grizzlies fans that he plans to make the team a winner. "I intend to do everything in my power to make this franchise a success in Vancouver. Having an owner that is committed to this market is an important part," Heisley said.

The bottom line is the team isn't going anywhere until 2027 because the local owners have an option to buy the team at book value if the majority owner attempts to move the team. After that it is up to the fans to support the team. All the protections will be gone.

Great news, for sure.  It's now time for us to (continue to) support the team.  There may be some tough times ahead in terms of success.  Maintaining strong ticket sales and support is key through those times.
