  2. Uhh, our point guard last season was our best player, so you can't really say it was a position of need. At this point Ja seems to be a very worthy selection at number 2 though.

    Where Should Conley Be Traded?

Yeah, I could tell that's what you were thinking. Trying to rush through the boards again, weren't ya?

    Where Should Conley Be Traded?

Who did Brooks outperform? He had one of the lowest PERs on the team. I will say that he looked like he was starting to come out of his early season funk, but he didn't get enough minutes before the injury to say for sure.

    Where Should Conley Be Traded?

That may eventually be true, but until it happens it's not.

Realistic expectations for Ja Morant in the upcoming season.

well he has kind've been hurt. when you spend more time on the bench in street clothes than on the court, that tends to happen.

Put on your GM hat and pick the next Grizzlies HC

slow your Role big fella.. you jumping off the deep end. first off, the team didn't just jump on Ja for ticket sales. He arguably the best player in the draft at a huge position of need. if fan interest were to go toward those other guys, which it aint, the team aint leaking information that they are taking anybody other than Morant. calm down all that moving talk to. Grizz ain't going anywhere any time soon. I like what this FO is doing. Wexler has said many times before that although he is in charge to run things, he lets the basketball people handle the basketball stuff.grizzlies are in arguably the best position we have been in since we have been in Memphis to have not one but two legit all nba stars. I mean top 10 guys in the league type guys. maybe even top 5 guys. if that all turns out to be the case, Memphis will be BOOMIN economically in ways we have never seen, including the playoff years.

Had a deal before deadline and before the season ending injury.

    Where Should Conley Be Traded?

Nop but that sounds impossible he is coming out two serious injury's and his on a super max. I just don't see any team trading for him.

That's a good inside combo. Delon/Ja would be a nice backcourt too. Open auditions for the starting small forward spot.

Jaren and JV are probably gonna have a lot of fun playing together. JV has the strengthen and toughness to clear space in the paint and Jaren has the athleticism to exploit the chaos created by a rampaging JV.

JV's efficiency numbers are at the elite level, yet people still crap on him. I don't get it. Generally I liked Casey as a coach, but his treatment of JV was infuriating. He wrote up plays 4 on 5 and left JV as an afterthought, assuming he was on the court when the chips were down. JV's scoring with the raps was mostly cleanup and posting up after a teammate got desperate and fed him the ball. In Memphis, we see what he can do when he becomes an integral part of the offence.

That J team will come in handy going against Joel, Jusuf, and Jokic.

https://sports.yahoo.com/gilbert-arenas-pointed-out-teammates-flaws-and-refused-to-root-for-them-when-he-was-on-the-bench-195321065.html Former Grizzly Gilbert Arenas was a terrible teammate. I read this article and to me, it pointed out the need for "deep" scouting. Stats are easy for anyone to find. What's going on between the ears is a different matter. A future draft pick or trade, the Grizzlies need to know if a potential player is a jerk or not. According to the Nets Jared Dudley "there are players like this". Most of us know this, but obviously Wallace didn't know or care when he brought Arenas on board. Hopefully Wexler/Kleiman are more proactive when it comes to players personalities.

JV is good -- the NBA is getting bigger again. Jaren is probably gonna be the prototype 4 of the future. And if Jaren plays "center" he will still need another big man next to him (brave new twin towers). Although now you need every kind of big man. So, if we get any more we need a bouncy rim runner/extra shot blocker to go with Jaren, Jonas, and Bruno. Besides, we have to keep Jonas as part of the J Team.

I agree with you. Gasol has been decent defensively, but offensively hasn’t played even close to the level he’s capable of. His play has reeked of someone trying to fit in and not upset some hierarchy, instead of someone playing naturally and recognizing an opportunity to win a championship. If Toronto had received the aggressive, confidant Gasol then one could have a case for Toronto executing this trade, but his play has more than resembled someone just happy to be there. Also, people not recognizing JV’s talent is beyond me. The cavalier attitude of he’s not good enough for today’s NBA is a follower’s approach instead of one that doesn’t worry what the others are doing. The notion of viewing someone who can possibly average 20 and 10 as an afterthought is mind boggling.
  25. Hahahahaha. Now that’s funny.
