    Dwight to Memphis (sources say)

They are one of the top 3 worst run franchises in the NBA. That's probably why. Rivaled only by the Knicks and Suns. He only played 9 games for the wizards, he wasn't even there long enough to be an issue. Being moved from Atlanta was more because they were tanking, there maybe was an issue in Charlotte, Miles fits better they're team currently. They already have Thomas Bryant, Ian mahinmi and Wagner, I assume they were trending more towards youth and ian can't really be moved. Nets don't count. So probably one issue on those 5 teams, maybe two (Atlanta). Either way, while he might be part of the problem, the issues on those teams go far deeper than anything he caused.

the vancouner grizzlies has a nice young team the thing missing was a good coach , hubbie brown would have made them winners

Charlotte has been desperate for good players for many years. You've got to ask yourself why they didn't try to keep him if he was playing "meaningful basketball" for them.

Howard has been moved to 5 teams in 6 years he’s definitely the problem. The Wizards would not have taken on more salary in miles if they felt Howard could help them.

You're assuming a lot. Howard didn't have any locker room issues last year, he was just injured. Most of the players you mentioned are mostly just the scape goats for dysfunctional teams. Howard last played meaningful basketball on a terrible Charlotte Hornets team. I'm not even trying to say any of these players are even positive locker room influences either, I'm just saying any time anything bad happens they are the first people that everyone blames regardless of whose fault it really is.
  8. Why are you disparaging Edminston + Herrington? They’re solid reporters/journalists or whatever they refer to themselves as. Much more intelligent than what you consider them to be-at least my experience reading/listening to them.

  10. About Jaren from the same article: I think the idea of JV stretching the floor is for Jaren to have as much space as possible. This offense will be designed for him, similar to the way Coach Bud utilized Giannis

You guys obviously do not understand what a locker room cancer is. Howard is a stage 4 locker room cancer. Under any circumstances he will wear Grizz jersey. Not even in a training camp. There is a chance like 1% he can still play in the NBA but he would never ever play or train with a Memphis team. Locker room cancers are tolerated as long as you can produce at a very high level the minute you don't you are out of there. Look at some other examples, Carmelo, JR Smith, they still could play but because they are cancers no one will take them. Whiteside Westbrook Chris Paul Cousins are cancers (some are bigger than others) the minute they do not produce enough they are out of the NBA. No team will take Howard even he can still contribute but Memphis FO in no rush to waive him because of that 1% chance but make no mistake Howard will never train let alone play for Memphis.
  12. This. I don't want JJJ settling on being a one dimensional offensive threat in his second season. He needs to develop all his skills.
  13. Not yet. He needs to develop more parts of his game before he starts camping out in 3pt land.

I think people expected too much. He was a freak athlete but he was stiff. He looks awkward even shooting a free throw. He was never gonna be this smooth big man. I think he reached atleast 90% of his potential peak., if not the full 100.
  15. I think Jaren should be our high-volume 3 point shooter. Of course he is great inside in the post and can be a matchup problem from mid-range but I wouldn't mind seeing him taking 7 or 8 three point shots a game. When JJJ gets going from the 3 point land he is unstoppable and so are we.

Look, I was never a big dwight howard fan, but the guy, at age 23, with no other superstar on his team, beat: a 24 year old Lebron, beat the big 3 in boston in their prime and yeah, he lost to the Kobe-Pau lakers, but you can't really question his accomplishments. I mean he isn't never going to win and awards for being a good teammate, but he did what most no scoring centers could only dream of doing.

Just being old with lots of years of service doesn’t mean someone has leadership skills. I don’t see Howard as the veteran leader type

    Dwight to Memphis (sources say)

The thing is he never invested in gaining skills that would keep him relevant once his physical gifts faded off (let alone go away through injuries).

  20. I don't want Jonas living behind the 3pt line. Having the ability is one thing but depending on it is another. Jonas was a beast down low and that's where I'd prefer to see him when he has a favorable matchup.

It was supposed to be humor, considering there are multiple posts talking about how he worked hard on his conditioning, but not his game. I do realize what kind of a career he has had.

    Trade deadline, ship him out!
  23. Do we have the shooters to space the floor?
  24. He was there in ATL when Horford became a stretch 5. Brook Lopez this past year became primarily a floor spacing 5. JV the stretch 5 is a realistic possibility. He's attempted 122 the last 2 years. That number will likely double this upcoming year.

    Dwight to Memphis (sources say)

I agree. I think we should keep him into the season because 1. He's better than Plumlee 2. Could actually have positive trade value if he proves to be solid here 3. If he is good, we could just keep him as he'd be a nice piece off the bench for a couple years 4. If he isn't good anymore, just keep him as depth and let him mentor.
  26. Dwash

    Dwight to Memphis (sources say)

Well he has made 240 million in career earnings as well as won 3 dpoy and 8 all star so I would think he has worked hard enough.
