Based upon the boxscore, Coach K concentrated on small ball today v. Russia as the Us won 89 - 79. It looks like the primary lineup was Rose, Billups, Westbrook, Durant & Odom.

Argentina received a large one-sided upset! Only USA and the trashball Euros are left. This should be a solid gold finish.
Is Durant a man among boys or what? OKC fans must be wetting themselves. Interesting question: would USA have a chance without Durant? Or would they be the USA select team insetad of the Mens' team? If Durant was out would Rose or someone just step up and fill that "role" or is it just because Durant is that good? On past teams it seemed like any given night Wade, LBJ, AI, Duncan, Kobe, Barkley, Jordan, Vince Carter, Kidd, Magic, Miller, would erupt in any given game. Can't remember one single player being dominant like this ever on Team USA. |
