Grizznasty - the new style of Grizzly basketball thanks to Tony Allen.

Or to respin it, griznasty is the NEW Griz Dynasty.

Updated 3YP to note it successfully seeing the team in the playoffs.

Any catchy terms related to the playoff beards? Or is "Playoff Beards" the best term. I think it deserves a spot on the list to preserve it for future grizzly fans.

Also looking for Tony Allen nicknames (or any other player nicknames that are missing. Not just making ones up, but ones actually used.)

I know this refers to Brian Cardinal, but does anyone remember the origins of where it came from?

Just an observation: The custodian and the janitor can also refer to the role best played by BC. Not on the floor. Around the building.

3YS - 3 Year Scam

Originally called the 3 Year Plan...

I've been cruising this thread. Obviously 3YS has become obsolete. There should be something about Heisley's guarantee.

Maybe the Midsouth Suit exchange: You'll love the way we look in the playoffs. I guarantee it.

I deemed 3YS inappropriate to add to the main list anyway.

Updated "Believe" instead of "I Believe"

Updated a number of entries with outdated relative times. Changed things like "this season" or "last season" to specify the year of the season, so that the definitions stand up over time.

There's also the

NOOOOO! YESSSSS!!! - Expletive, meaning any time Zach Randolph does a crossover move and takes and makes a jump shot from 20+ feet.

Or an uncontested 3 with TD laying back.

Alternate Spurs: YESSSSSSS--------NOOOOOOOOOooooo.

With the Grizz on TV and in the media more, keep an eye out for more witty nicknames, tag lines, etc that we'd like to remember from this playoff run and to have stick long term with the team.

"He wit us."

Courtesy of Mr. Tony Allen - When the opposing player takes a shot so bad one could only conclude..."he wit us!"

Congrats, I think it has the sticking power of throwing dried out dog turds at the ceiling.

A little off topic (maybe) A salty old guy I used to work with said,
"Never kick a crusty turd." Crusties have more sticking power than dried.

Don't hesitate to cut it if it's over the top.

I made a few updates based on suggestions (and didn't post here to bump.) Also added Grizztory, which is off a sign from welcoming the Grizzlies home after game 7, and got quoted by one of the news anchors later that night (Fox if I recall correctly.)

I've changed my avatar. You can buy this bear for $33,000 in Sedona at a little shopping center called Tlaquepaque which means the best things.

If I still have the Marc one, I'll try again.

The vocabulary thread is once again open for business. I know I've collected a number of items I'd like to get added to the list this year, but I wanted to make sure everyone else who has suggestions can add their input.

Same rules apply. We want to limit negativity and personal attacks. Terms should be about the Grizzlies, not about posters or about this forums. If the term would be out of place on a sign in the arena, or on a radio show, it might not be a good fit. What we want here is a list of terms a new grizzly fan could look to if they hear or see something and need the background or context to make sense of.
