From Good Ole Verno's twittwer:

Also, heard through the grapevine that Xavier is engaged.

That could definitely lead to injuries. tongue.gif

Update on Xavier. I have a feeling he is going to eventually need knee surgery and he will miss time next season when he has that surgery.

the lockout should have everyone in great shape medically. Ready to see what a healthy Rudy, Xavier, Arthur, TA and a well rested Marc and Zbo can bring.

What's wrong with Marc? His Ankle?

Wait, where did you hear Marc was injured??

I'm not too concerned over not having X. Yes he has some potential, but his impact on the court was minimal and it's obvious he wasn't necessary for the team to succeed. Plus we're deep at the two guard position.

DA's injury was definitely a bummer though. But I think we'll manage.

Most sources are indicating he'll miss a minimum of two games.

I think Pargo can handle things against Houston, but to be honest, I'm going to be a little nervous having a rookie matched up against the MVP on Sunday...

I am not worried about that at all, anyway, we need to defend their other guys. However, everything depends on D-Rose in my honest opinion.

Ha! A little nervous? It doesn't matter who's guarding Rose - Pargo, Conley, Tony Allen - the MVP is gonna get his. Where it hurts is on offense. Pargo looked great last night but he's still an inexperienced rookie. We should be able to beat the Rockets though.

While not a Grizzly, I do have a lot of respect for Eric Maynor. Good wishes for a full recovery from the torn ACL. Out for the remainder of the season.

Anybody have a countdown clock running on Zach's return? The injury was on Jan 1, so six weeks is Feb 12 and 8 weeks is Feb 26.

I saw Darrell Arthur on the bench last night in a walking boot which means his hard cast is removed. That is very good news but please don't think he'll be back this season. He won't.

I tore my achilles and after two months of a hard cast I was in a walking boot for an additional four months. I was 33 at the time and no professional athlete but the tendon has been sewn together with thread and it will take a long time to rebuild the muscle and strengthen the tendon.

Also, he likely will never be the player he was before the injury. Darell used an fast leaping ability to be effective driving the ball to the basket and defending the basket. He will lose at least an inch if not more in vertical leap and that will have an enormous impact on his effectiveness.

So what exactly happened to Dante? I know it was his ankle, but has there been any sort of release from the team saying the severity of the injury and/or a timetable for his return? He tweeted that he was "just fine" the night of the injury, but I haven't heard anything since.

Dante is day to day with a sprained right ankle. No word has been released on the severity of the sprain nor any anticipated date of his return to the lineup.

So what exactly ended up being Tony's injury? I know Mayo hit him in the face and there was a lot of blood but I didn't know if it was a broken nose or busted lips or what really happened.
