Mods or Sixth Man can you add one like we had in the past, or this can be it. Any updates on AI or Sam Young?? I mean I seriously hope our bloggers are part time or college students because they do the least. 1 day b4 the season starts and we dont have any info on key injuries or gameplan or anything?

I asked Sam how his ankle was today when he was signing autographs for the luncheon fans. He said that it was OK but he was going to go back and get some treatment on it when the autograph session was over. I also asked mike the same question and he said that his ankle was feeling good. I expect that they will both be cleared to play in Wednesday’s game.

According to the CA, Iverson did not contact practice today, but probably wont play in the opener. Sam Young with an ankle injury, did not practice. Iverson is supposedly a long shot for the opener and I think it said Sam Young was questionable also.

If all this holds true, opening day rotation will be..

Conley-Williams
Mayo-Gilder
Gay-Caroll
Z-Bo-Caroll
Gasol-Thabeet..

With Iverson and Sam Young gone. We have no guard depth, and without Arthur we dont have power forward depth, unless Hunter can really play the 4. Because of our lack of guard depth, Mayo and Gay will probably play about 38-40 minutes opening night.

I really hope Young is good to go Wed night because with him AND Iverson out, OJ might just play 48 minutes at the 2 spot, or Rudy might have to play it some and we could go big. I don't see Gilder seeing the floor at all, but that's just me.

From info I've read - 4 counting Arthur (who is out 4 months)

1. Mike Conley, ankle, probable
2. Sam Young, ankle, questionable
3. Allen Iverson, torn hamstring, doubtful
4. Darrell Arthur, pectoral, out indefinitely

+Jaric is on Ir, so thats leaves us with 11 assuming MC is fine. I dont have faith in Trey Gilder b/c I haven't seen enough. Since, the pistons play small, I wouldn't be surprised to see Mike Conley and Marcus Williams on the court at the same time of push comes to shove. We would be very thin without young though.

Mike conley-Marcus Williams
OJ mayo-trey gilder
Rudy gay-Demarre Caroll
Z-Bo-Hunter
Gasol-Thabeet-Hadadi...

I think I would rather play two centers...Gasol-Thabeet or Thabeet-Hunter..and let rudy slide to shooting guard, rather than relying on trey gilder to guard bg, rip, and stuckey...

Iverson didn't just not suit up Friday night. He wasn't on the bench and people who should have known where he was didn't have a clue.

Has anyone read anywhere about why Iverson wasn't on the bench for the Toronto game? Was he upset to not be playing in that game? Was he upset to hear that he likely wouldn't play in Denver either?

I dont care about Thabeet being out. If anything, it will help the team. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

But I think Arthur has more of a defensive presense than Carroll who is currently Rudy's back up SF. I would like to see Arthur back in the lineup after the all star break. I think he could be one of our key reserves in a year or two.

2.5-3 months.

4 months total, and it's been 4-6 weeks. Look for him in February.
