I have a feeling this will be a loss. I expect Brooklyn, Chicago and Cleveland to jump us in a week or two.

Not Chicago. I expect them to decide to blow it up within the next few weeks. They are doing worse than we are.

Its possible, but I'm sure Rose will have a lot of say in that. He's probably going to want out if the team starts to rebuild and his brother is really pushing it.

True but they are in NBA purgatory too. Everyone always points to ATL but CHI isn't too much better. If i was them i would tank this year and build a new CORE that isn't solely dependent on DRose and his knees. Thibs suffer from Hollins disease where he over depends on his defense and the Elite isolation play of one guy to carry them on offense.

I thought it was stupid that they gave up on Nate Robinson so quick. He played great for them last year and would have gave them an extra scorer WITH Rose. They would have also been more prepared this season if they kept him. Now, they are just like the Grizz without much scoring on the perimeter.

Every season though - they have this issue. At some point you have to ask yourself is it a talent problem or coaching system problem?

Stop me if you have heard this before, "We need more perimeter threats and shooters to help our floor spacing, Without that our offense will struggle". "Yea they can shoot but we can't play those guys because they are defensive liabilities!".

Bulls have had like you said NatRobinson, Kyle Korver, Marco Belinilli, Rip Hamilton, and now Mike Dunleavy. Yet every year they need help shooting 3s. Seems like to me that Coaches that overdose on defense don't understand how to properly utilize Shooters.

Seems to me that having a top 5 defense isn't as appreciated as having a top offense by a lot of people.

Chicago and Memphis had been winning a lot of games playing that poorly devised offense over the years. Not so much now.

the one team stat that correlates best with winning and going deep in playoff is defensive efficiency. we need to get back to that regardless of what we do on offense.

True. Tough to do when you're missing the DPOY.

I don't think there is just one stat that you can point at anymore. Last year the Heat were 9th in the league in defensive rating.
It used to be that half of the time the team with the highest average margin of victory won a championship. In the past 5 seasons, no championship team has led the league in M.O.V.

So how many twisted ankles are we away from defaulting this game?
We're rolling out 9 players tonight, right?

This is epic level bad luck. You cannot make this type of stuff up.

I haven't heard anything about miller yet.
