Always love seeing game threads, even if this game is two months away from occurring.

I realize it is still early but it looks so depressing to see no local TV broadcasts and no promotions for the pre-season games.

What's there now is pieced together from the limited info that's now out, plus guessing on times and on TV coverage. Who knows, maybe WGN will show the game. (I'll update, as more information comes available.)

http://www.nba.com/b...n-schedule.html says a 4:00 start but http://www.myfoxmemp...season-schedule says a 7:00 start for this game. 7:00 seems more likely on a Monday.

If Rose plays that would be great. That will give us an early test against a legit title contender. If Rose doesn't play then I hope we see lots of Wroten, Calathes, and Jamaal Franklin. We need to integrate those three guys into the offense. We can use those guys in some high energy lineups off the bench along with Ed Davis. I am still intrigued by a bigger back court off the bench with Wroten and Calathes. Length matters a lot in the NBA as does passing. A big backcourt off the bench will help us in both areas. ... other than that, this game will be an unofficial homecoming for Mike Miller. If we get to see Mike Miller AND Derrick Rose return to Memphis then this might be the best ticket of the preseason.

Do you think Marc will play the Preseason knowing that he is going to play the Europe National Championship?

Also, is Jamaal still injured?

I don't see why not, the Euros end on September 22 and the Grizzlies' first preseason game is on October 7. That's two weeks to decompress, travel and start practicing with the team.

Also, is Jamaal still injured?

I haven't read anything, but considering he's already been signed and that it wasn't a bad injury to start with I assume he's ok. ESPN injury report (updated 2 days ago) doesn't list him as injured either.

Clicked on "best seats available" as soon as they went on sale and got Plaza section 116, row Q (QPon?) so it seems they are selling pretty good.

September is all that stands between us and the preseason. And Sep will be a really easy month for me because it's AFL Finals (or playoffs in American terms) down here in Australia. If some of you are really bored and need some sport, i suggest trying to watch an AFL game, specifically the AFL Grand Final at the end of September. Watch some highlights on YouTube and if you like what you see, give it a try.

I wholeheartedly agree. Any sport that keeps the play alive while players step over other players' backs or collide in mid air is a sport worth watching.
