Let ZBO start this game. We have to know what he brings to the table if given enough minutes. I dont think he really had the chance to find his rythym. Just let him start and play 35+ minutes, we really need him in the playoffs.

Has Lionel hinted in any way whether or not Z-Bo will start in the playoffs?

He's hinted more to not changing what he felt has worked with bringing him off the bench...

If by some miracle the Clippers lose tonight and tomorrow, this is going to be the single most important regular season game in franchise history.

Man I hope we can do it!

I think zbo should still come off the bench for the rest of the year...the team can't afford to mess with the chemistry right now

I dont care if Zbo is coming off the bench or starting. We have to find a way to get him back to some of his form. This game may be the only chance we can stick him out there for most of the game to see what he can do. The thing im not seeing out there is his positioning. He never relied on his athleticism to get his positioning for his z bounds but since the Toronto game, we havent really seen any of this.

Exactly.

You don't just hand over the starting position to someone. He has to earn it back and he hasn't done that. Plus, you don't want to mess up the chemistry we have with the 1st unit. Our starting PF is the least of our worries when starting out games. Speights is probably our best 1st quarter player on the team. If ZBO is having a great game, we keep him in the game and plays big minutes.

Clipps win REST EVERY SINGLE PLAYER

Clipps lose play it like a playoff game.

I wonder if ORL will rest players.

Theory: Orlando beats Charlotte tomorrow and rests its players for the MEM game. They are 2.0 games ahead of 7th spot and the 5th spot is out of reach.

But all goes underwater if LAC beats Knicks.. Who could tank to get the 8th spot to play Chicago. Lots of variables...

Another aspect of this is that if the Clips lose and we take care of business against Orlando then that gives us TONS of momentum going into the playoffs on top of having home court. Right now I feel like we aren't playing amazing, but doing just enough to get by. I think this is the spark we need to get to that next level.

If the Knicks and the Bobcats win(i know, I know) tonight. We will be playing for home court and the Magic would be playing to avoid the 7 seed.

Win or lose, it would be an excellent tune up for the playoffs.

My take on the recent play of the Grizzlies is that Lionel is using these last few games as something like preseason combined with playoff practice. He is trying out some different combinations, playing his main lineups a few times each game to see how they perform, but almost as important, hiding our main strengths to limit scouting opportunities by the Clippers. Think about it. We've known we were probably going to be facing the Clippers for weeks. The Clippers may have had the same knowledge, but if they scouted us over the last two weeks, what have they seen? Us getting by, not us focused except for limited periods. In contrast, the Clippers have been playing against tough teams. We have gotten to see what they are like at their best, because if they didn't play their best, they would have lost and we wouldn't have to play them in the playoffs.

Word.

These games have felt just like preseason. Once the real season begins some of the players that have been on the floor for extended minutes won't crack the bench except for excessive fouls, emergency situations, or the rare matchup situation. I look for a very tight rotation of 8-9 come this weekend.

All the wailing and gnashing of teeth is over practice. Practice! We talkin' bout practice?!...

The team has been bored as of late. If the Clippers lose tonight, I'll think they'll have plenty of fun playing the Magic tomorrow. If Clippers win, then they'll be bored playing the Magic and then pick it up in the playoffs.
