They lost to the T'Wolves tonight, and really had no answer for when K-Love went off in the fourth. They start Lavoy Allen at center. Marc should be licking his chops. Fresh meat for dinner on Monday night!

Lets go into the break on a high note. 19-15 isnt what we all wanted when the season started, but we are 7th and in the playoff conversation. I know we played last night and Philly is rested, but I really hope the guys can dig down and put together a strong swarming performance tonight and close out the 1st half of the season on a positive. COME ON GRIZZ!!!

We should definitely take this game. Marc should go nuts and lets hope Speights has got that "kill your former team" gene that Kyle Lowry has on us. I wouldn't sleep on Vucevic tonight though, kid can play.

the philly boards say Nocioni is starting in his place - he's injured. and they all expect Speights to go 20/10 on them tonight and start calling to Fire Doug Collins for not playing Evan Turner.

OMG are the sixers a 3 point shooting team???Because I'm dead tired of 3s last night Lowry miss like 4 or 5 in the 4th but I just hate it when teams take alot of 3s.

Also LOL at Mo Speights looks like they need him now and I think it was a great trade is rare to find a big who is able to shot.

I am Haddadi's fan and I just don't get how this guy does not get playing time while other guys like Pargo play terribly every game and they get playtime. I think coach is overreacting to opponent's line up instead of sometimes forcing them to react to ours.

Haddadi is leading all NBA players in Rebounds per minutes. He has 2.4 Reb per 5.9 minutes of action per game which is 0.406 rebound per minute.
http://sports.yahoo....=26&qualified=0

Here is stat for some other players:
D. Howard: 15.3 Reb, 38.4 Min, 0.398 Reb/Min
K. Love: 14.2 Reb, 40.0 Min, 0.355 Reb/Min
A. Bynum: 12.8 Reb, 34.5 Min, 0.371 Reb/Min
B. Griffin: 11.3 Reb, 36.8 MIn, 0.307 Reb/Min
M. Gasol: 9.9 Reb, 37.9 Min, 0.261 Reb/Min

And here is his stats whenever he has played 10+ minutes for last 12 months (total of 7 games):

Date Min Against Points Rebounds Block Turnovers Fouls FG-Att FG-made FG% +/-

2/26/2011 20 SAC 10 10 2 1 3 11 5 0.45 +16

3/21/2011 12 UTAH 10 4 1 0 1 7 5 0.71 +3

4/10/2011 19 NOR 9 7 1 1 3 3 2 0.67 +10

4/12/2011 19 POR 9 10 1 4 3 8 4 0.50 -11

4/13/2011 13 LAC 10 3 1 1 3 5 3 0.60 +11

1/24/2012 10 POR 4 3 0 0 2 2 1 0.50 +4

2/5/2012 11 BOS 9 5 1 0 1 4 3 0.75 +5

Average: 14.86 Min 8.71 Pts 6.00 Reb 1.00 Blk 1.00 TO 2.29 PF 5.71 FG-A 3.29 FG-M 0.58 FG% +5.43 +/-

Some notes here:

1) Fouls: contradictory to what people generally say regarding him not being able to play long enough because of foul trouble, this shows that whenever he gets long enough time to play in a game he doesn't commit to many fouls. 2.29 fouls per 14.86 minutes is probably above average but not that bad.

2) Turnovers: Same as fouls, he has only committed 1 turnover per game for the games he has played more than 10 minutes. I am not sure but I think this is even less than NBA average per minute and maybe half of Lin's turnover's per minute!!

3)FG %: 58 percent is better than best FG% in the league as of today (Andrew Bynum 56.3%)

4)Rebounds:Already talked about his rebound per minute stats

5)+/-:This one is important to see the team performance when he has been in the court. Here we have 6 positive number and only one negative for the 7 games he has played over 10 minutes. And on average Grizzlies have scored 5.43 points more in the 14.86 minutes he has been in the game than their opponents. This shows that his presence has resulted in better overall team performance as well.

Although stats doesn't show everything, but for a backup center having stats close to or better than best players in the league at least should bring consistent limited back-up minutes per game for him. And to me, it is obvious whenever he got a chance to play at least 10 minutes in a game he has been productive and showed something positive. His defensive presence has positive effects on our team productivity (+/- stats) which we should utilize more often.

Definitely looking for a big game out of Mo.

And when he plays well we are much much tougher to beat.

They have 3 skinny 7 footers, a 6'11' and a 6'10" so you might say they're tall! The way we can beat tall teams is to do 2 things: Obviously defend their center to have equal chance at rebounds 2. Use fast, smaller players like Tony, Mayo & Conley to cut to the basket and get fouls against their big guys. They will most likely outrebound us because Hollins only plays Marc & Marc is tired by early second quarter, but they will get in foul trouble before the 3rd quarter is over so we will probably fall behind early but gain on them in the 4th.

Vegas has the Grizz favored by only 1 point. That's ok. I will gladly take a 1 point win.

Revenge game for Speights and Rudy (Turner dislocated Rudy's shoulder the last time these two teams played).

I'm looking for Speights to have a big game. Some games where he has looked awful, he just looked disengaged. He will be pumped for this game, so I expect him to be the difference.

Whether you believe this is a must win or not; one thing is for sure....... We all should want to go into the All Star break on a winning note. Good for the psyche. Go Grizz!!
