Can we please stop Lowry?? This guy is a thorn in the Grizzlies side. I think we'll win b/c we're at home. They are hot though, so it won't be easy.

I liked Lowry quite a bit when he wore a Grizzlies jersey. Fiercely competetive and played with heart. Now he's one of the guys in the league I hate because he's turned it on us. I can still respect him, but I hope we give his team a beatdown.

Guys we should be focused on the Jazz. How are our players going to be ready for Utah when all you guys are focused on Houston??

:D

Rudy Gay's playing a 2nd round unknown, let's hope he doesn't get outplayed by a lesser opponent

I'm with that on Lowry, dude was one of my favorite players when he was here, and it really hurts that we gave him away for nothing... especially since he's been killin' it in H-town. I hope Mr. Conley shows up to play for this one.

Tonight the same Utah team that beat us, got embarassed by the 4-23 New Orleans Hornets 86-80. Why? Because Hornets' best rebounder Chris Kaman made 27 points/13 rebounds over Utah's short heads! Hamed can reverse whats been happening to us the last 10 games, getting beat on rebounds and defense. Let him in as forward with Marc against Scola & Dalembert.
Hasheem Thabeet is in the house we're in trouble :D

Agreed with the comments about Lowry. I always say this, but the key to our games vs Houston, are always Mike Conley. Lowry totally punks him almost every time we play them.

I will just say this. I have watched Houston a few times on League Pass and they can freakin shoot the ball. They rolled into Portland, an arena where we got torched, and beat the Blazers. They then eased on down to Phoenix and beat Steve Nash and company--something we could not do. And the thing I noticed about them is that all of them can shoot. Lowry, Martin, Parsons, Budinger, Patrick Patterson-most all of them can shoot. Scola does his dirty punk thing down low and Dalembert gives them some height.

As is the case for teams like this, if they have an off shooting night, we could run them out of the Forum, but if they are on, we better be playing great perimeter defense.

After laying the egg against Utah, we really need to take this one and avenge the 2 losses to the Nets from last year.

My question is do we keep starting Marreese Speights? Looks as if he will be matched up against Scola. I just dont see him being able to handle Scola and all of his punkness down low. Would a more athletic Dante Cunningham be better to start against Scola? Just curious.

I still think Marc Gasol will beat Houston this year I think is just a great fit for him.(get Dalember on foul trouble and the game is over)

Also we have to fight off the screens specially Rudy I think most scouting reports have ''Screen Rudy gay on offense''

we really need a good start tonight. it would be very helpful for some jumpers to fall for us...
watch out for scola's face.
step on the flopping kevmart every chance.
