I dunno what Amare Stoudemire ya'll were watchin. But he had one of his best seasons after signin that contract with the Knicks. He was a few years removed from his knee injury but i believe he had his eye injury the season before. It was only after that first year with the knicks that he fell apart with more injuries. But he was certainly worth the max at the time he signed it.
Its funny, the Suns let him walk n that's what did them in, they haven't made the playoffs since. Parsons signing remains to be seen if it was the right move. But keepin Gasol n Conley were the definitely the right moves for us, we'd be a 20 win team right now if we didnt resign them.
Keeping a good not great PG in Conley at close to 1/3 of your team's salary cap ensures you have a mediocre team the length of the contract. This team will be playoff bound and bounced first second round till they get off this ridiculous carousel notion of the real effectiveness of this "core".
Three coaches and two F.Os in and this "core" led team has led to the same result. And right now Chris Wallace is still trying to convince the locals that he can push this boulder up the hill.
