Who Should the team Work Out?

Recommended Posts

Everyone knows (or at least should know) that the Grizzlies don't have a draft pick in this year's draft...yet.

However, deals get made all the time but the only way a deal can get made is if the team trading for the pick has been seen by the team. Lottery picks likely won't be brought in but the team likely will be working players out. So who do you believe the team should be looking at if they want to purchase/trade to a late first or 2nd round pick?

Off the top of my head there's Kyle Kuzma (stretch 4), PJ Dozier, Jordan Bell (his mentality is a perfect fit but would have to clear frontcourt log jam), Dwayne Bacon (not sure if he stayed in but an offensive minded player with some questions about work ethic and defense), Tyler Dorsey (3pt. specialist), Wesley Iwundu (Good defensive player with size and foot speed but a terrible 3 point shot till his senior year where he improved greatly so all depends on if you think that his shooting was a fluke this year).

i,m tired of these late first rounder and 2 round picksthose player win not be in the league in a year or two. free agent and trades are the route to go to make this team better

Guys they can put on those two way contracts. I dont think they need to buy a pick just be able to pin point talent in the undrafted pool.

I dont have much faith in the Grizz talent  evaluation department i say they look to get a scorer and a stretch big since that's the way the league is projecting.

I can understand that. After all, why would the Grizzlies want players like Carlos Boozer, Draymond Green, Michael Redd or the like?

Marc Gasol, Gilbert Arenas, Khris Middleton, Nick Van Exel, Monta Ellis, Toni Kukoc, Manu, Hornacek, Calvin Murphy, Tiny Archibald, Dennis Rodman, Jimmy Butler, Patrick Beverly, Lou Williams, Isaiah Thomas, Trevor Ariza, Hasaan Whiteside, Danny Green, Kyle Korver, Paul Milsap, Deandre Jordan, Goran Dragic, pre knee injury Chandler Parsons

Yeah I wouldn't want any of those guys from the second round either!

Never hurts to look.  Don't the dual d-league/NBA contracts kick in this  coming season?

When has Chris Wallace drafted a gem?

Never. Does that mean he should stop trying? We have never won a championship, should we stop trying to do that too? Just because you haven't does not you shouldn't try. Now his horrible drafting skills should be taken into account when considering how much to give up to get a second round pick. Money? Sure, do it. Future picks? I'll pass.

I think we should go after whatever international star that may not get drafted. For some reason I believe Alpha Kaba may slip and be undrafted. I'm not wishing him bad luck but I think Hollinger is a fan of his

Well actually  I think we have stopped trying to win a championship  they are content with having a mediocre playoff team.  I'm sure this summer's dealings will back that up

Two totally different arguments. Chris Wallace is a proven incompetent drafter. He should be fired but he won't. Hopefully, he will not be allowed to exercise or trade our 2018 1st.
