Most Under-Rated Senior Forward Inside/outside Threat

17 posts in this topic

Michigan State transfer Kenny Kaminski now at Ohio.  Shooting 46% from 3.  Did it in the Big Ten (49%) as well. At 6-8 and 235, plays defense and rebounds as well as being amazing versatile on offense. (think Mike Miller in his prime)

Do the Grizz have a 2nd round pick to play around with???

And even looks like Mike Miller.

Doesn't sound like Miller.

Actually since he plays on the wing, his rebounding numbers are not all that eye popping but that is the system he plays in right now.

The guy was a big star in h.s. and played on a final four team at Mich. St.

If he was at Ohio State instead of Ohio University, he would be a solid 2nd round draft projection.

Don't get me wrong. I am not for or against anyone.  I have not paid attention to college ball for years now, just not enough time.  When the Grizzlies pick/sign/trade for a player, that's who I will be rooting for.  I just thought the defense reference and Mike Miller were sort of funny.

I think our 2017 "picks" are going to be Rade and maybe some undrafted guy from Europe. A 33rd pick in the 2nd round is probably going to be a draft and stash guy anyway.

At least Hollinger seems to be involved in a long Euro scouting tour:

33rd is almost first round.  Probably too high for KK.  He is worth a late 2nd or easily a free agent try in summer league.

That is at his current status.  If he has some big big games as the year goes on, maybe moves up to mid-2nd.  This is a testament to how the talent level out there has moved up.  15 years ago he would have been on par with Wally Szczerbiak but now maybe an undrafted FA.

You can find a Baldwin or Jarell Martin or Jordan Adams type talent at 33 all day long.

I think he'll be a good pro. I didn't know we had that high of a second round pick.

A couple of games back when Ohio played Kent St. on ESPN-U, Kaminski hit bunch of those "step back" threes like the one in that GIF.

Another thing that seems impressive is how down to earth and articulate the kids who play for Saul Phillips are.  They are a reflection of his style.  Akron is also good again this year, so one of them will go dancing and one will not.

The heats pick which is the 33rd pick at the moment

Dang man that turned out to be a great deal. That pick is probably more valuable than the 25th pick and lower.

We get out own pick if we land 31-35, and we get Miami's if they land 31-40. The second scenario is obviously more likely.

We have NO sure picks in this upcoming draft, though. Zero.

With Rade coming over, It might be good not to have any picks just for a roster number point of view. Team is getting full especially if they decide to keep ZBo and Tony.

Why does everyone keep assuming the Rade is coming over?

Who in the organization has said anything that suggested he will be ready?

His agent said he will sign next season, as part of an existing verbal agreement with the Grizzlies. Considering he has to pay to opt out of his contract I'd assume this carries some weight.
