I don't want anyone who doesn't have an expiring contract - can't compromise our MAX cap space this summer.

O'Quinn makes 5.5m about the same as Tony.   If we do a swap with him then its a wash.

Yeah if you're sending out an equal or greater amount of multi-year salary then it's worth discussing.

bleacher report article discussing potential trade bait for teams. There are a few big men on it that could be useful for us.

Kyle O'Quinn

Alex Len

Cody Zeller

Josh McRoberts *Chris Wallace alert*

Terrence Jones

O'Quinn and McRoberts are probably the most obtainable.

Alex Len would be a very good option we can trade Clee for him straight up. O'Quinn can't be traded yet and McRoberts doesn't make much sense because we just traded with Miami and we could have got him then.

I like them too but They are young lottery picks and we don't have anything to offer.

Yea but neither of them are really playing so it's not like you should have to break the bank to get them.

New York needs two things one is to get off of Calderon and the other is defense on the wings. They're only defender is Afflalo.

If you read the article the guy they had as the grizz rep would just so happen to be TA. I would do TA for O'Quinn and some 2nd round picks. If you watch O'Quinn's game besides the fact that he looks huge he kind of plays like a more athletic Zbo.

Calderon at this point in time is Beno Udrih on steroids. He is still deadly from 3 (shooting .500 for the season) but his already poor defense has become dismal with age. He shouldn't be starting for any team, let alone a rebuilding team like the Knicks. He's still a good distributor, so I can see him having some value dishing the ball to Porzingis, but honestly, I don't think that compensates his lack of defense. What they need to do is start Galloway, he may not necessarily be their long term PG, but it's not like Calderon will be either.

In any event I don't see the Knicks being interested in TA. For one, imagine TA in the triangle. He would send Phil Jackson to an early grave. For another, teams that need a defensive specialist off the bench may be interested in TA, but the Knicks need better players for their rebuilding, or at the very least players who can be there for 2-3 seasons and contribute immediately if Porzingis' progression propels them into contention. TA doesn't fit either need. I mean, Afflalo is a good player and it's not like the Knicks are going to start TA at SF...

If we sign or trade for a big, he needs to be a PF/C with enough mass/muscle to survive as the only big on the court. I love Jam and he adds a lot to the team, but he was clearly overpowered by Howard and at some points Capela. That's not a knock on him (Howard had 40lbs on him, for chrissake), it's just a matter of him not being big enough to play the C position against proper C's.

By the way, what does it say about Jarnell Stokes' future with the Grizzlies that he's not seeing a single minute on the court under the current circumstances.

 That's a good one.

The thing the Grizz should have done was to make Howard have to come out to guard him, he's a good outside shooter but he couldn't guard him on D.

What is Larry Sanders doing?   Man he would be a monster with an athletic lineup.    If in basketball shape and focused mentally he would def be an upgrade over Ryan Hollins.

I think he opened up a "shop" in Denver.

Actually it sounds like he is trying to get his life on the right track, deal with mental issues and help other players. I doubt if he has any reason to come back to the NBA anytime soon, especially considering he's being paid $2 million a year to do  nothing.

Fairly easy deal VC and Russ to Milwaukee for Plumlee and Tyler Ennis. Milwaukee might not want to part with Ennis if not then we could swap him for Bayless or Do TA and Vince for either Greivis and Plumlee or Mayo and Plumlee which has been mentioned a few times now.

I'd do Ta for OQuinn. I wanted him in the off season. Yes He really is like a more athletic zbo.

Kyle O'Quin is a more athletic Z-Bo? Gimme a break yall.

When you leave put the "like" it's a whole mother statement but since the two people ahead of you both said like how bout you take the statement for what it is.

Kyle O'Quinn plays like zach cause he uses his weight to push bigs around in the post, on offense and Defense. He can also step out and knock down the midrange shot and even an occasional three.

The athleticism part comes because he can block shots and he will also dunk the ball from time to time.

I'll take O'Quinn. I still think he has room to grow here. But McRoberts would be cool. Looks like he still has the Athleticism we Need

I've only caught the last few games but I couldn't believe how God-awful O'Quinn has looked. He's honestly not much of an improvement over Jarnell Stokes, and I would absolutely take Ryan Hollins over him.

He just looks massively overweight and disinterested. McBob would be an interesting pick but why not trade for him when we got Chalmers and Ennis. That would suggest he's not available. If he was we could have gotten him with Chalmers.

We're gonna get someone that we haven't mentioned of course I wish we could figure out who the FO were trying to move to find another big. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.
