Hollins: Once We Are Locked In, Wants To Throw 35+ Mins At Zbo

Recommended Posts

ZBo has averaged more minutes in March than in April, which I find interesting, however his minutes have generally been consistent.

I think he will be between 32-34 minutes tonight, depending on how he and the other centers play.

Hollins ability to integrate Mo Speights, Dante Cunningham, Quincy Pondexter, Gilbert Arenas and Zach Randolph during a shortened season with very little practice time is indicative of a coach in control of his team who provides a clear message of what he expects from his players. That is why Hollins is getting attention for coach of the year.

Yup. Hollins' coaching job over the last two seasons has been freaking impressive. He can come off as supremely stubborn, but you can't argue with the results.

Hollins' inability to effectively corporate Z-Bo back into the team in actual important games shows obvious deficiencies as a coach

I'm glad I don't have to hang out with you in real life.

Anyone not saying this doesn't understand basketball.

Hollins hasn't integrated anything, he doesn't even have a set rotation and the season is over in a week. This guy is making soup and just throwing in all the ingredients and hoping it turns out good

Perhaps you are just unable to understand what Hollins is trying to do...

Is there anything you enjoy about this team or do you just enjoy insulting the pros to make your life seem better?

Hollins doesn't know what he's doing, he has no rotation and throws in random Pargo every now and then. Playing 12 guys every other game sure sounds like a great plan. The team succeeds in spite of a mediocre coach like Hollins

Hubie

The czar (Fratello)

Iavarroni

Hollins

Rate their results on regular season records.

Rate their results on playoff record.

Come on, son! The team is better than last year despite playing without 2 of the 6 most important players for most of the season and adding an entirely new bench minus OJ. Just about ever player on the team has played better under Hollins. The team was a disaster on defense a few years ago. Now we're one of the best in the league. And we went from having no bench to having a pretty solid one in large part through Hollins' efforts to manufacture one.

Hollins isn't perfect, but he's established himself as one of the best coaches in the league. And the players like playing for him and know where they stand with him.

they should be better with all the talent they have. Just last year being an 8th seed was a joke with the talent on that team, luckily they played up to their potential in the playoffs

Dude, we're one the top 5 teams in the incredibly competitive Western Conference. We've been battling through injuries all year and we've been playing in a shortened/condensed season.

Seriously, how much more do you want?

Do you also have another identity here that you use for ordinary comments?

He wants to argue with people. No one would come here and make the comments he does on a fan board if he didn't simply want to fire up the fans and start arguements.

I can't complain about someone trying to set the record straight but that isn't his intention. He clouds issues with negative comments and when cornered simply walks away from the board for a few days.

It's really pathetic when you think about it. How sad his real life must be to find enjoyment in this little escape of his.

Hollins and Pops both having problems getting their stars back in shape for the playoff push. I guess they are both lousy coaches just getting by with superior talent.

I've been saying that Z-bo will be fine come playoff time. Looks like Hollins is working towards getting primetime Z-bo back in time for the playoffs. Horribilis aka Mayoly aka ItIsWhatItIs doesn't have much to complain about so he figures he'll take a few shots at the head coach. The same man who is first all time in Grizzlies wins and the only coach to even bring us halfway close to being championship competitive. All in a very short amount of time.

Hollins is one of the 10 best coaches in the game right now. And I'm being generous.

I think it would be good to keep starting Speights the game and Zach playing with the 2nd unit to avoid our infamous second quarter droughts, then start Zbo in the 2nd half.

something like

5min 1st Q - 6min 2nd Q

start 3rd Q - 9min 3rd Q

8min 4th Q - end

minute up or down.
