Nba Lockout -- Research Project

5 posts in this topic

Hello,

I am working on a group project for my consumer behavior class in college.

We are wondering how the NBA lockout affected consumer's behaviors.

Please answer this question: Overall, how did the NBA lockout affect your purchasing decisions? Ex) Attending games, buying merchandise, and watching games on TV?

Also -- I can only accept answers from people 18 and over.

- Thanks -

No affect this time. The lockout prior to this one had me so disgusted I stopped following the NBA for almost a decade. If I was not a Grizzlies fan and a season ticket holder, I would have responded the same way that I did the first time.

has had a small effect. I bought tickets to NCAA and Harlem Globetrotters instead of NBA games. especially during lockout. up in here in Boston no one gives a ratt's butt about the Celtics since the lockout though. I think they'll come around when the playoffs hit though. Plus they got ZERO exciting new players on the roster and everyone wrote them off. The way the Redsox tanked this fall and the Patriots were upset in the Superbowl I think people are just ****** about pro sports in general up here.

Didn't affect my purchasing and watching habits. I actually think I've made one more game this year than last, and should make another 1 or 2 before playoffs.
