TheStephensonConundrum

The Real Last Piece

1st Trade: http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=28glrm7

- Steve Nash, Josh Childress, Grant Hill and Channing Frye for Mike Conley, Zach Randolph, Xavier Henry and Sam Young.

This move will definitely will put us in playoff conversation. Nash is the headliner, but Josh Childress is a 6' 8" swingman who brings length and energy to the backcourt, Grant Hill is the old reliable and Channing Frye can stretch the defenses with his unusual combination of length and range.

The rebuilding Suns will most likely give the keys to Dragic, but Mike Conley is no scrub and can be one of the key guys to their youth movement. Xavier Henry is also one promising piece for the Suns, having shown he can be in the league with his defensive tenacity. He hasn't shown consistent effort with scoring but it will come for the 19-year old. With the Suns' experience developing Joe Johnson and with Alvin Gentry coaching, he has a bright future in Phoenix. Sam Young is a sparkplug and will look to replace in Phoenix the explosive dunking from the swingman J-Rich, whom they lost in the trade to Orlando. Zach Randolph is valued as an expiring contract, but ZBo is the powerhouse the Suns have sorely missed. While not being athletic, he always gets it done with an array of post moves, good knack for rebounding the ball and has a mid-range jumper.

2nd Trade: http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=2cbz6ac

- Memphis get Anthony Randolph, Bill Walker, Roger Mason, Jr. and cash considerations from New York and Chauncey Billups, Anthony Carter and Shawne Williams from Denver.

- Denver gets Xavier Henry, Hasheem Thabeet and Mike Conley from Memphis and Landry Fields, Eddy Curry, Ronnie Turiaf, Wilson Chandler and a potential first round pick from New York

- New York gets Carmelo Anthony and JR Smith from Denver and Demarre Carroll and Darrell Arthur from Memphis

Grizz get involved in a blockbuster trade with Denver and New York, fishing out all-star Chauncey Billups, talented athlete Anthony Randolph, and the long-range bomber Roger Mason, Jr. We sadly have to part with Arthur, Henry, Conley and Thabeet.

New York gets Carmelo and two other talented players in Smith and Arthur. Denver gets rid of most of the vets and stacks up on young guns and potential assets fully going into rebuild mode.

Dude no way wants to trade Arthur. Also no one wants Bill Walker or Mason.
