  1. Not a super in-depth piece, but he does discuss Fizdale, Gasol, Bickerstaff and the MLK Jr. game. Mike Conley talks Fizdale and injury Did you and Gasol ever have a conversation about Fizdale’s firing? We talked. I think Marc’s intentions are solely about the team. He didn’t want any of this to happen. I didn’t think so. It was also frustrating for all of us. It was tough for Marc, myself and probably the older guys on the team who have built this foundation, to see the state that we are in.
  2. I am so proud of the way Mike has stepped up his game this year. He has shown that he belongs in the top tier of PG's. No one should ever again question his heart, desire, skill, or talent. Conley is THE franchise player and he earned it thru hard-work and perseverance. He is Memphis personified on the court and the fanbase should embrace him as such. He proved that his first extension was no fluke and a worthy investment. Now he is proving that he is worthy of being the "highest paid player" in the league as well. That's crazy. Besides illustrating perfectly what hard-work can do for a player, Conley also exemplifies why player development is so important. He doesn't become who he is without Lionel investing in him. Which should bode well for Fizdale and Harrison. Conley is now a cautionary tale to any impatient fan that wants to give up on rookies and young players too soon.
  3. What do you guys think? Will Conley and Gasol (probably in) make the cut? Link: http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/18546871/zach-lowe-2017-nba-all-star-picks-east-west
  4. Apparently they are doing an event or something related for Mike Conley's upcoming free agency. They've been posting this on twitter. @memgrizz "3 Days. 6/27. 11:11am. http://grizzlies.com #Spirit " The 11:11AM, gives it off. It's probably something related to what they did for Marc last year. There were rumors that Justin Timberlake was going to be involved. What do you think it's about??
  5. Report On B/r On Conley

Says the front office is increasingly worried about Conley leaving. I know there's going to be reports like this until it's he signs somewhere, but what do you guys think on whether he will stay or go? I understand we can offer him the max. But not thinking about money I'd have to think SA is a strong possibility of they indeed do want him. If I were Conley I believe if the money was right it would be hard, Very hard, for me to turn it down. We all know the culture and winning pedigree. The biggest reason it would be appealing to me would be how they take care of their players. Conley is all but garunteed to get hurt each year he remains here, it's been a trend, hopefully Fizz will be smarter with the talent. If he wants to win, and play for an organization that's likely the best at managing their players health then SA seems like the best place to be. Thoughts

  7. Blessings In Disquise

Seeing how the "New and Improved" Grizzlies are really clicking in 2014. With the 3rd ranked defense in new Calendar year and a rising offense that is no longer bottom of the league. Here are some developments that possibly would have never happened if we weren't hit by injury bug. JoergerBall would probably still be in limbo if Gasol never went down Conley full ascension to best player on team JAMES JOHNSON Jonny Badger breakout games Ed "Bossman" Davis probably would have been traded by now Zbo truly becoming a playmaker Offensive improvement Those are just a few of the positive things that have occurred due to our early season "bad luck". Today wanted to take a glass half full type of view of season and appreciate how far we have come. Am i missing any others?
