Maybe he should be a fat tighter?

Grizz have been winning more often than not at the mile high
  5. JaM Ain't Going Anywhere

My guess is this plays out with Jam doing a 1-year deal. His best shot at getting bigger money is to stay in the NBA, so him signing a deal overseas is unrealistic in my mind. He'd be betting on himself, but the money just isn't out there this year for him to get a good deal as an RFA.
  6. JaM Ain't Going Anywhere

No longer being in the area, I am not familiar with Fizdale's use of hyperbole. All I will say is, if he uses hyperbole in basketball terms, he picked the right city to coach in.
  7. Hello, Dillon Brooks!

Actual Answer: No one (but it doesn't matter as much as it might have in the past). Chris Wallace/Front Office Answer: Wayne Selden will fill the role, but not as well as Tony did. Reality: Most good teams don't have a stopper/shut down closer guy, they have several good two-way players and good schemes. Really only the most elite, premier teams have a shut down defender like Kawhi Leonard, Draymond Green, or Lebron James. A shut down/closer type guy isn't a precondition to success. (Note: If anyone thinks Tony Allen would have had a prayer of making things better against Kawhi Leonard in that series against the Spurs, they're deluded. Kawhi was looking like the best player in the Playoffs until he got injured. It was a real shame that happened, because the Spurs might have knocked off the Warriors in a fair fight).

    He takes charges well too.
  9. Hello, Dillon Brooks!

    Cash considerations.
  10. Grizzlies opponents - 2017 Free agents and trades

With the system they are wanting to run he would be perfect. Mid range game on point and can spread the floor. Not the best defensively but can grab a few boards.

Oh, thanks for clarifying. I would be okay with Speights. I'm not sure if he would be a "great" piece, but probably much better than some we have under contract.
  12. Grizzlies opponents - 2017 Free agents and trades

Mo speights. Who I wish we could bring back. Would be a great piece to this team once again. All we would need is a rebounding big again.
  13. Good thing they got toilets on his boat for when he's throwing one of his many torta-laden parties.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but based on what, and how so?
  15. Grizzlies opponents - 2017 Free agents and trades

The only explosiveness coming from Gasol is in the bathroom because all his fat *** eats is Krystal's 😒

Being a RFA + lowered cap screwed JaM. Last year was an anomaly with Crabbe and Tyler Johnson. He'd get at least $12 million as an URFA.
  18. Hello, Dillon Brooks!

So who's going to stop the ball dominant scorers now?
  19. Hello, Dillon Brooks!

What draft profile did you regurgitate that from I wonder
  20. Grizzlies opponents - 2017 Free agents and trades

Nothing off about it. Either 1) He's not as coveted as this board thinks and/or 2) his agent is asking for way too much money. I never understood the hype about how JaM was going to get paid big time cash and I sure didn't think he was going to get $15 mil which the local media was apparently saying. I thought he was going to be a $6-$8 mil per year guy and us offering $10 mil would be more than generous. At this point, if I were the Grizz, I would offer him and his idiotic agent 2 years, $12 mil with a player option for the second year and leave it at that. Take it or leave it.
  21. Grizzlies opponents - 2017 Free agents and trades

It's odd to me a team like Magic aren't pursuing JaM. The local Magic radio guys said the Magic sat down with Mo Buckets recently and a deal is imminent.
  22. Why wouldn't they get Carmelo for Irving? Knicks would snap that off.
  23. Grizzlies opponents - 2017 Free agents and trades

If I were the Cavs, I would work with the Knicks to do a sign and trade with Derrick Rose. A 1 year contract matching Irving's. That way, you know you would at least get something. They will get a lot of low ball offers for Irving. they will not get Carmelo for Irving and I have no idea how his $18.8 mil will fit on the Spurs unless they trade LA. I guess they could trade a broken down Tony Parker but a) why would the Cavs do that and b ) don't see the Spurs dumping Parker like that. I would just ask the Knicks to offer DRose a 1 year contract match Irving's salary.
  24. Grizzlies opponents - 2017 Free agents and trades

Possibly but he's also 4-5 inches shorter and a good 40 pounds lighter. Size matters in the NBA. I do think he could help this team more than Baldwin and obviously if IT can find a way in the NBA, I think Smith could as well.
  25. Grizzlies opponents - 2017 Free agents and trades

That just goes to show you how irrational and unrealistic most fans are across sports. Everything is about their team and every trade benefits their team while other teams pick up scraps so that their favorite team can get better. That's rarely how it works and the Cavs are in a bad situation with Irving now with this going public. They weren't going to get equal value to begin with but now it will be tons of lowball offers because everyone knows Irving wants out.
